Tristan Dick Chen is a 21-year-old health centre receptionist whose life is dominated by solving the murder of his friend, Kimmy Sutherland. Kimmy was strangled in 2015 and the killer was never brought to justice.

He is a British Jedi who defines himself as bisexual. He didn’t finish school. He has a severe phobia of fingers, and is obsessed with bottled water.

Physically, Tristan is not in great shape. He needs to lose quite a lot of weight. He is very short with chocolate skin, black hair and brown eyes.

He grew up in a middle class neighbourhood. His father left when he was young, leaving him with his mother, who was an addict.

He is currently single. His most recent romance was with a student called Tess Nimue Hamilton, who was the same age as him. They broke up because Tess couldn’t deal with Tristan’s obsession with Kimmy’s death.

Tristan has one child with ex-girlfriend Tess: Jaymee aged 0.

Tristan’s best friend is a health centre receptionist called Avery Shaw. They are inseparable. He also hangs around with a health centre receptionist called Young French. They enjoy reading together.
